The Assam Rifles School Lokra is located within the Unit headquarter of 44 AR. The school now is open from LKG to class X. The children of the AR troops as well civilians are enrolled in this school. Mrs Gaurav Rishi is the principal of the school and the Headmaster is Mr . The school has significantly improved its performance in the last two years in the High School Leaving Certificate under Assam Board.
The school organised extra curricular activities throughout the year. There were Debate competitions, painting competitions, annual sports meet etc. The School has organised a Delhi Agra tour last year where students along with the teachers visited many historic places in Delhi and Agra.
